A giveaway...don't wanna miss this!!

It is sunny here today...It is a MIRACLE lol!!

We have had 5 days of straight rain.....maybe more I dunno, the days just dripped and poured into each other after about the 2rd day of torrential rain.
I am not sure if my garden is going to survive it. It started out with my lettuces and spinach coming up, I do have a few squash and a few bean shoots but nothing else is coming up. I am praying it does, I sure wanted a bountiful garden this year!!

We went to church last night for the prayer service then right after we started a woman's bible study in David...it's going to be sooo good.

So for the giveaway news.....I am coming up on my 100th post in a few days, It took me forever to get here ...... I don't post everyday, mostly it's once a week. I decided I wanted to do a giveaway to celebrate that. Well, I am not normal nor am I patient, so it's going to be be a early 100th post giveaway!! HAHA! If I (or you) wait for that last 7 posts for me to hit 100 we might be in the Fall season...and that just wouldn't do.

anyway I've decided to give away a doll :)
She is pretty cool, if I do say so myself, she's made from my own pattern... really prim and worn, rag stuffed and grungied up...She is dressed in red, white and blue for the upcoming patriotic season. She's got a white and blue polka dotted dress and red ticking bloomers, on the front I stitched onto a flag I made..PRAY.....cause you just gotta do it!! :) and on the hem of her dress is a red rickety-rack. Her face is both stitched and painted and her hair is a red spun wool. She's about 21 inches tall, so she is a good sized doll for you to display!

We did a photo shoot this mornin' here's a few of the shots.... Here's the splitz-cheerleader pose......What a ham!!
Up a tree...I think she's been watching Jamie lately....
Oh now....... look at this one!! Have you ever saw anything like this?? The camera hog!! Whoever wins this girl is in for exciting times!! hehehe....

And here she is dreamin' of her new home....

I made her take a normal one...she wasn't happy lol

So whatta ya gotta do to win this doll??? Just post a comment on this entry.... if you want to add it to your blog side bar that would be really nice, to spread the word. If you wanna add me to your blog roll, sure I would love that....but to win her, ya just gotta post. Jamie will be picking a name out of a bowl on the 22nd :)
Have fun and a sunny bright day!!
Melissa

Trudy said...

OMG,

She is gorgeous, and I loved, loved the photo shoot!

I think that this little would be wonderful company for me, right beside my lazyboy chair. She will maybe keep me out of trouble:)

Even though I am a Canadian, I love Americana...we are brothers/sisters of you after all.

Heading to my chair with my fingers and toes crossed that you will pick my name for this little lady. I think that she should be called Scarlett after Gone With The Wind. Scarlett was pretty daring for her time too, and your dolly reminds me of her.

Wooly hugs,
Trudy
