Well, I am alive after almost 2 weeks of work...I am tired, but alive. I made it through the biscuits...they turned out awesome...the yeast rolls I made today and they were good, rose good but I needed to make them bigger...you learn I guess...I think my boss chica is pleased with me though... So that's good. I am one tired mama though!!! My house looks a mess but I am trying to get all that taken care of cause I certainly don't want to let my home go. I need to manage time better so I can do all the things I like :)

I have been making a few things when I can find a moment! Above is my newest guy a tall scarecrow from my own pattern....I love his face! He is attached to a tall spool.....

First day of work and something new!!

This is my newest fall goodie! It is a old drawer that I added a bunch of pumpkins to. A big white one a big orange one and then 3 little orange punkins and 2 dark brown ones. I think it turned out really neat, it would be perfect on a table for the fall season right on up through November!
It is going on my LPS tonight!

I also started my first day of work and this is going to be fun! I work with the best girls who like to laugh and crack up with each other. My only concern is my actual job LOL I am the baker in the cafeteria, and I have to do biscuits and rolls FROM SCRATCH! Like 200 of them!! So pray for me :)
Once the girls get into school and there is a rhythm going I hope to be able to get to sewing again.

What... fall?

The fall season for us is here! (for now at least) Usually we don't see temps this low... 71...for awhile yet, but we've seen them this past few days. A cold front has moved over us and it feels just like fall. I am not ready LOL! Well, I am ready for fall... just not winter..let's put it that way. I stay cold it seems.

Tomorrow I start my new job at the school! We are going to be cleaning for the next 2 days to prepare for school to start on the 9th. I am excited and also very nervous! I haven't worked in almost 6 years! I have the baking position and we have to actually bake the bread from scratch recipe and I am NOT a bread baker...I have worries about this people!!!! I just hope and pray I do well. I lack confidence I think, I pray about that alot.

The girls start school on the 9th and I think they are ready, Jamie starts kindergarden and she is excited... I will get some pictures for sure!
I made a journal cover for myself but that's about it in the sewing department maybe I will get to it today!

Wow...still alive but very busy!

Although that isn't much of an excuse!! BUT... I have been really busy it seems like it's been something everyday which is a good thing! We have been at the pool, to the carnival, PA, and now I have been babysitting almost 2 weeks, I have also been cleaning vacation rentals, we have bought a Chincoteague pony which needs alot of time.

And to top it off I have gone ahead and gotten myself a job :) I start at the first of the month working in Jamie's school in the lunch room. It's actually a great opportunity for me to get out and make a little extra money..plus, Jamie goes to school with me and then I will pick her up. I should be home by 1:30. Perfect!
I have also managed to get a few things done crafting. I posted them on my other blog, my selling blog. The fall is my favorite to craft for......Here's a few pics...
I am free for the next few days so I will go and visit all my blogging buddies ( I hope they are still out there!!lol :)

I finished a few new prims! Both of these are from patterns from Chestnut Junction. They are also to decorate for halloween, I love doing halloween stuff it's so much fun. They will be going up on my selling blog, I think.

Jessie's birthday was yesterday she's 15 years old! The time sure has flown by, I was reminiscing about when she was little, and I got a little sad that that time is past but I am enjoying every age with my girls and looking forward to the future as well. She spent her birthday in Nevada..but we will have another one here for her.
Jamie and I are headed to the pool and then we have the carnival tonight. This is her favorite time of the year!

Here... the girls got off just fine on the plane, made it there great and now are in Nevada having a great time with their cousins and their grandparents, my parents. They've been swimming, 4 wheeling, fishing and going all different kinds of places. I am so happy they got to go out there this summer.

Jamie and I have been hanging out at the pool and the house for the last few days. We are sure missing the girls but it's been very nice.

I haven't got much time for sewing lately..I have also been working, cleaning houses which is a nice bit of extra money. I am half done on a few things, need to get motivated!!

And guess what? In August my walmart will have NO MORE fabric..just a craft celebration center. Whoopie.. thanks walmart.
Ok, this really stinks!! We have no fabric stores anywhere but a hour ride away so...I don't know what I'll do. It really is stupid, but what can we .....the little customers who don't matter do??
Anyway, gotta get back to Jamie hope you all are enjoying your summer!

New look...

I love this new background. I liked the other one but I wondered if it was too hard to read so I changed it up. I like the darker colors, plus it matched my banner! The site I got it from Hot Bliggity Blog has so many cute backgrounds.

I have been trying to get the girls ready for their trip plus spend some time with them. I was thinking last night how much I was going to miss them. Kind of hit me right before sleep, then I got worried about the plane ride and them being alone....Then I pretty much gave it all to God. He really took away my worries and then I went to sleep, now I will probably go through this every night until they are home. Thankfully God listens.
So if you would... keep me in your prayers :)

We have been trying to get to the pool for the last few days, but it really has been on the cooler side with lots of clouds. We hope tomorrow is going to be sunny and warm! I am going to work on a few dolls tomorrow I am thinking of trying eBay again. I haven't tried it in forever!

and that's what has been happening around here. The girls are out of school now and my days are mostly spent with them...Today is another day at he pool. I am also working on something watermelon, just have to do the finishing touches to that.
Oh and my 2 oldest girls are headed out west next weekend, to Nevada! They are going to visit my parents and family. They are also flying alone, so I am a little nervous, but they are going to have so much fun!!

Aww... look what's new at my selling blog plain-worker-primitives

Patriotic cats...this was a fun project! I got this pattern from blue moon beginnings.

I've not been around for a few days, just trying to sew and catch up with some cleaning. My washing machine broke down and if you can imagine 3 days without a machine + 5 people who are in my family 4 of us GIRLS! Eek! you can imagine the literal mountain of clothes I had piled up..
All done now though, I am so blessed that I have a husband that can work on stuff and fix it.

We were up late last night with our fire alarm going off every 10 minutes..I don't know why but, I have the Coast Guard guys coming to look at it this afternoon since we live in government owned housing I have to call them. Gotta get that fixed!

I noticed something funny, I put a favorite scripture of mine up on my selling blog..just typed it in.... and I look this morning on this blog and my scripture of the day is the same one!! hehe isn't that funny?
I am going to visit all my favorite blogs today to see what you've been up to!

A new adventure for me....

I have been praying and thinking on this thing I've wanted to do for a few months now and yesterday I decided that the day was here to go ahead and start it.

I've started a selling blog here on blogger. LOL! This is a big step for me so I am proud to be doing it...I have got a few things up and am going to keep it stocked, my usual... dolls, crafts and makedo's....... prim stuff. Not much else is going on we have had a bunch of award nights at school since this is almost the end, my girls get out in 10 more days and are so happy..me too... Love to have them home. Saturday flea mart finds...

I scored big time at the flea mart yesterday! A friend and I went to a big one that was in the paper and I found a ton of stuff! I took a bunch of pictures!

This tree, a tabletop tree wrapped in white lights and a red and cream check...cute...I love anything lit up... 1 dollar

Fabric!!Yaeeee!! and ya right like I was going to pass this up.....It was in a basket, I don't know how much there is, maybe each 1/2 yards maybe not that much ...but who cares?!?! It's F.A.B.R.I.C and it's MINE ALL MINE LOL! She had 5 on it and believe me I would have paid that too, but I asked her 3 dollars and she took it! I love fabric and the people who sell it to me haha!

A board painted like a American flag..primitive and just up my alley, the star is missing on the front..who cares.... I have a ton of them. Hold on to yer panties gals .25 cents

A strainer..not old, but I am going to rust this thing up...FREEE!!! (ahhhh...check out that stash of fabric in the back!! woot! woot!! It is NOT a SICKNESS!)

And the BEST thing I got all weekend a OLD quilt..hand stitched... in pretty good condition just a few holes here and there.... I have been searching for a quilt like this forever to turn into altered art and crafts! I am so excited!!
8 bucks...I haggled from 10 hehe ..I am one happy woman people!

And this I actually got last weekend..I paid 2 for the box and everything in it..

I am also working on a few things for LPS tomorrow..this girl isn't extreme prim but every once in awhile I like to do these cuties..she is from sweet meadow farms pattern

Last week I went to the flea market and picked up this cool sewing basket..old...it is cardboard and fabric covered..... anyway..... It was full of cool stuff, wooden bobbins with the thread still on them, scrap fabric, needles and buttons. Lots of cool buttons in some of my favorite colors blues, grays, creams and browns so my brain started working on a new doll and this is what I came up with. She's got a penciled face, pinched stitched nose and she stands on a old candlestick. Oh, and a crown.

I hope you all enjoyed your long weekend, and it was a good Memorial Day...A time for honoring and remembering all who have died for our freedoms. I also remember and am thankful for my Lord and Savior Jesus who also laid down His life for me.

Haha!! What a post title huh? Well, my computer saves searches and when I clicked to post a title there were several to drop down to choose from, this was one of them. Somebodies been learning yay!!
We (finally!) Had a launch of the rocket from Wallops Island, it's been delayed almost all month. We watched it launch from our front yard, we are a few miles away from the launch site so we had awesome seats... exciting! I got a few pictures, but they are not great ones..

Under the big top!

Tonight we are taking the girls to see Coles Bros. Circus... I've never been to a real 'under the big top circus' before so this will be alotta fun.

My husband James won the tickets on the radio show ...you know the ones where you call up, answer the questions correctly and win something...well he wins ALL of the time, he won these circus tickets....lotto tickets...concert tickets, you name it. This guy must be the fountain of knowledge, he is always winning....they even know his voice!
He's a brainiac, a genius, he's got mad skills for knowing crazy trivia ...or I like to call him a know it all. HAHA ....
That's fine we get lots of treats that way :) I just wish they'd give away a house or car or cash money wouldn't that be nice?!?!

It is sunny here today...It is a MIRACLE lol!!

We have had 5 days of straight rain.....maybe more I dunno, the days just dripped and poured into each other after about the 2rd day of torrential rain.
I am not sure if my garden is going to survive it. It started out with my lettuces and spinach coming up, I do have a few squash and a few bean shoots but nothing else is coming up. I am praying it does, I sure wanted a bountiful garden this year!!

We went to church last night for the prayer service then right after we started a woman's bible study in David...it's going to be sooo good.

So for the giveaway news.....I am coming up on my 100th post in a few days, It took me forever to get here ...... I don't post everyday, mostly it's once a week. I decided I wanted to do a giveaway to celebrate that. Well, I am not normal nor am I patient, so it's going to be be a early 100th post giveaway!! HAHA! If I (or you) wait for that last 7 posts for me to hit 100 we might be in the Fall season...and that just wouldn't do.

anyway I've decided to give away a doll :)
She is pretty cool, if I do say so myself, she's made from my own pattern... really prim and worn, rag stuffed and grungied up...She is dressed in red, white and blue for the upcoming patriotic season. She's got a white and blue polka dotted dress and red ticking bloomers, on the front I stitched onto a flag I made..PRAY.....cause you just gotta do it!! :) and on the hem of her dress is a red rickety-rack. Her face is both stitched and painted and her hair is a red spun wool. She's about 21 inches tall, so she is a good sized doll for you to display!

Our President decides to 'tone down' the events?? I was saddened to read that he won't be hosting a event in the white house.
I pray everyday too, but today.... the day that has been set aside for our nation to pray.....and as Christians we need to get on our knees, to seek God's face, to turn from our ways, we need it now more than ever. I pray today for our country, the way it is going, our government and our president...This is long but please read it.......

Does anyone make these?

I tried a pattern from RevoluzZza It was so easy, I thought that I'd make Jamie one....I also had her write her name on the back of it and then I stitched it on for her..Turned out really cute and she likes -her- cause she IS a girl.

I went to the 2 nearest flea marts by my house and surprisingly not many people were out..I did end up getting 3 small bobbins to be used for some make dos....3 for a dollar, not bad.

I'm working on a doll I drew out Friday, but can't seem to get her dress the way I want it to look, back to the drawing board I guess......

Well here's my 2 new goods for my Lemon Poppy Seeds shoppe.
A doll! Wha....?? A doll you say!?! Surprise LOL!

She is my design, although of course the faceless dolls have been done before. Her head is a little tilted to the side which was on purpose hehe. She's got a simple brown dress, and a pocket full of sweet annie...I love how she came out! Plus, she smells soo good with the grungy mix I used plus the sweet annie...I bought this stuff a long time ago and it still smells so great!

And this is my 2nd offering, I bought this old coffee pot at a TS a while ago and decided to use it as a flower pot, there are 8 daisies on sticks, some sweet annie and some moss. I tied it all up with a old grungy bow. You could use this through the fall I imagine..... I need to figure out a way to safely ship it!! Any ideas??
They are in my shoppe in a min.... lol I need to go do that right now!

In other news, I was using my Corel PSP Photo program this morning....well, it's got a lot of fun features like wrinkle reducer, blemish fader, teeth whitener, it can even make you skinny!!!

SOOOO I was working on a picture my daughter took last night (of me!) and I think well, let's give the wrinkle reducer a go...do you know it took like 5 minutes to process?? HAHAH! Nothing like waiting forever for a program to 'reduce your wrinkles', it makes your morning lol!! It was funny....

This weekend we don't have a tball game on Saturday..so I might be going thrifting and to the flea market...Hope you all have a great weekend!!

Can someone please tell my husband to stop bringing home turtles??

This guy was brought home last year and was about the size of a quarter....He's a painted turtle that goes by the name of Squirt, Sheldon, Squid, Shelly....Whatever... He's now as big as my hand splayed out and has his own 100 gallon turtle condo equipped with water filter, sun lamp, heater, logs, rocks and vegetation...... : He's a well provided for turtle.

Well. Last night my hubby walks in with another lost wanderer .....a snapping!! turtle from work, the size of a quarter, so we think well, lets try him in the tank....

Squirt, Shelly whatever our other turtles name is decides that his 100 gallon tank is too small for 2 and goes after this little guy... biting him, chasing him...Now look at his face above...could have fooled me with that innocent face, he's really a cold blooded (LOL!) violent animal!

This guys going to a pond near our house so he can live free.

Some more pictures of Jamie I had on my camera. We have been outside for the last 4 days! We have had awesome warm weather and have been soaking in it. We went to the beach on Sunday after church and had a great time got a little sun. I LOVE springtime!!

And she's in polka dots and florals...got herself a purplish-blue crown and a ribbon that clearly states that she's the QUEEN!! (if anyone isn't aware of it already hehe!!)

Just got her finished today and she will be going up to My Lemon Poppy Seeds Shoppe!

It's finally sunny so I am spending the day out in my garden MUD HOLE! Yep, it's so soggy from all this rain, but I am determined to get it done this week and planted! Hope your day is sunny and warm.

We had tons of rain, wind and even some hail last night and this morning woke up to my flower beds boggy; I noticed this big guy sittin' there so I took a picture, he was like what do you want?!?!

And I also finished another watermelon. I am selling these two local girls who like my stuff and I am thinking about doing one for my LPS shoppe and my MIL..who knows?! :) LOL at least they are fun to make!

The girls are back to school, and I have some time to sew and craft..when they are home I mostly spend time with them and neglect my sewing. Also, I am also getting my garden ready going tomorrow to buy some tomato plants...then it's planting time, can't wait till I have some fresh veggies!
Oh and Jamie had her very first T-Ball game she had so much fun, my hubby got a ton of pictures! She danced, posed and played ball! She is number 8 :)

She's STABLE!

Praise God, her scan was unchanged! She's about a year and a half from her last chemo now and the tumor is staying the same, so that is great news!!
They said everything looked good except for her left ear...she can't hear very well out of it and they want a audiogram done to see what's going on with it.
The types of chemo's she took can affect hearing and there's a chance that some of it could have been affected so we will go for that soon. Other than that I am so happy!

And hubby's aunt loved her watermelon...plus, I got 2 orders for them! I need to work on those today and grocery shop, but I do NOT want to do that. Can't stand going grocery shopping anymore seems like my bill is almost doubled every time I go.

It is windy and cool today but I've also got to get my garden going, I still have to add my good manure ...but it's been almost non- stop rain and it's been tough getting out there. So that is also on my to do list.
Anyway, that the update and we thank you all for each one of your prayers and thoughts.
